2020 Independence Day Celebration

The event started on August 14th, 2020. On that day, students had 3 sessions of activities. First, discussing about The History of Indonesia’s Independence, about the games that are played on Independence Day of Indonesia, which falls on every August 17th. They also had the bread eating competition and the Trivia quiz. The quiz was all about Indonesia (national heroes, important days and dates.).
Not only that, the students from all levels (Primary 1 to 4) also had separated competitions, such as DIY Indonesian Flag Making Activity and Independence Day Photo Contest for Primary 1 and 2 students. On the other hand, the Primary 3 and 4 had Independence Day Speech Competition.
On August 17th, 2020, all the students in Fontem Academy had a Virtual Flag Raising Ceremony. This event started with the reading of Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, the reading of Indonesian Independence Proclamation text, the reading of Indonesian Minister of Education’s speech by the school principal, and the salutation towards Bendera Merah Putih.
it was the time for the students to learn the essence of patriotism and hard works of the fallen heroes towards certain achievements, the national independence. DIRGAHAYU INDONESIA-KU!!! MERDEKA!!!
