2019 Picket Fence and Fontem Academy Children’s Day Movie Screening
Children’s Day is a day dedicated to children all over the world to celebrate and appreciate the role children play in the future of all communities around the world. In the past, Children’s Day was first celebrated to honour children globally aiming at protecting them from working long hours in dangerous circumstances and allowing access for rightful education. In modern days, people all over the world celebrate Children’s Day by conducting some events dedicated for children. In Indonesia itself, National Children’s Day is celebrated on July 23.
In conjunction with Picket Fence Education’s 10th Anniversary, we celebrated this special day by gifting a movie screening session to all of our Kindergarten and Primary students. The students couldn’t be more thrilled to watch The Lion King movie with their peers and teachers at Cinemaxx Medan and Pekanbaru! They were fascinated by the beautiful scenes and a heartwarming story about love, faith and many valuable lessons that the children can learn. It was indeed an unforgettable experience for our students as well as educators to be a part of this event.
